Beverly Farr Fowler Bradley, our beautiful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, returned home to her Heavenly Father on November 30, 2024. What a joyous reunion she must have had with her family!
She was born on October 18, 1939 to Lawrence Waldo and Ruth Walker Farr in Pleasant Grove, Utah. She was the second oldest of five children and was born on a kitchen table due to an impetigo outbreak at the American Fork Hospital.
She grew up in Pleasant Grove and developed a great love for music, excelling in piano and the organ at a young age. She graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1957, where she was involved in cheerleading, student council, band, and sports. She was selected by the Chamber of Commerce as the “Outstanding Senior Girl” of her graduating class. She was also chosen by the High School Faculty to be one of the four Honor Students to speak at graduation. In 1957 and 1958, she was part of the Strawberry Days Royalty.
After high school, she attended BYU and worked at the Pleasant Grove Cannery, where she met Richard ‘M’ Fowler, and they were married on July 1, 1959 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They made their home in Lehi, Utah, and she took a job working at the Alpine School District Office until the late 1960’s. They adopted a daughter, Michelle, on July 10, 1967. After they got Michelle, she then started working at Lehi High School as a secretary until Richard passed away in 1979.
She married Clifford Ralph Bradley on July 10, 1980 and they made their home in Orem, Utah, where she was the financial secretary at Mountain View High School until her retirement in 1992, after 33 years with Alpine School District. After her retirement, she became a licensed daycare provider to her grandchildren, Rachel and Brian. She enjoyed this wonderful ‘job’, even though she was their grandmother, and took them on many outings and field trips while Michelle was in school and working. She and Cliff later moved to St. George, Utah in 2008. She and Cliff enjoyed many years of golf, travel, and BYU games over the years.
Beverly was an excellent seamstress, cook, quilter, and an accomplished Family Historian. Her greatest love next to music and the gospel has always been her family. She loved to have family dinners, play games, have family parties, and go on family vacations. To her, her family was her life and her greatest blessing and accomplishment.
Beverly was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She learned at a young age to love her Heavenly Father and to communicate to Him through prayer. She always believed in the power of prayer, in doing work for her ancestors, and has always had a very strong testimony of the gospel.
Beverly held many church callings, including Temple Ordinance Worker, Young Women’s Leader, Family History Consultant, Stake Relief Society Presidency, Relief Society Presidency, and Primary Pianist, just to name a few, but her most cherished calling has always been the Ward Organist. People had always complimented her on her musical talent and told her how much they loved and appreciated her music, and how it made them feel just to listen to her play.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Michelle, grandchildren Rachel Koncar (Philip), Brian Bradley, Kaylee Bradley, and soon to be grandson-in-law, Corey Shoemaker. Great-Grandchildren, Cohen, Solomon, Beckham, and Isabel Koncar.
Sister Pauline Jarvis (Lynn), and brother Michael Lawrence Farr (Kathy).
She is preceded in death by her husbands Richard M Fowler and Clifford Ralph Bradley, her parents, sisters Gay Farr Hales and Debra Farr Krebs.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 16, 2024 at 11 AM at the Green Valley LDS church, 1282 W 500 S Cir, St. George, Utah 84770 with burial at the Tonaquint Cemetery 1777 S Dixie Drive in St. George, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM prior to the services.
