Beth Corbin Kurcab, 73, passed away on March 31, 2025, in St. George, Utah.
Born on July 4, 1951, in West Point, Nebraska, Beth grew up in the nearby town of Hooper. She attended grade school and high school there, forming friendships that would last a lifetime. Her ability to connect with others and maintain those bonds was a hallmark of her life—she remained in touch with many of her childhood friends throughout the years.
Following her early education, Beth pursued training as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This path led her to a fulfilling career working with students in the Boulder Valley School District in Boulder, Colorado. Her dedication and compassion touched many lives during her tenure there until her retirement in 2006.
Beth had a zest for life that was reflected in her many hobbies and interests. She found joy in music and dancing and was an enthusiastic participant in water aerobics. A creative spirit, she enjoyed making jewelry and exploring new places through travel and RV trips. These passions brought color and energy to her days and often served as ways for her to connect with others.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Steve Kurcab of St. George, Utah; granddaughter Courtney Bex and her husband Austin Bex of Cottageville, South Carolina; granddaughter Britney Smith and her partner Andrew Clary of Round O, South Carolina; and great-grandson Bjorn Clary of Round O, South Carolina.
Beth was preceded in death by her father Leo Corbin, mother Edna Spielman; and sister Sue Corbin.
Her warmth, friendliness, and enduring connections will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
