Anna Kathrine Pastorek May, 86, passed away Tuesday, August 10th, 2021 and went to be reunited with her knight in shining armor.
She was born September 25, 1934 in Naperville, Illinois to Stephen and Martha (Shores) Pastorek. She married the boy next door, Claude W May, Jr, on September 15th, 1951 - they love each other "to the moon and back" and are a perfect example of true love. They are the proud parents of 7 children who love them dearly and miss them immensely.
She loved her family - they were her top priority and she loved spending time with them, she loved to cook, she loved taking family vacations and they often took along more kids than their own, she had a passion for playing cards, playing bingo and the slots. She also loved animals and there were many family pets, some that just showed up and never left. Over the years she worked at a furniture factory in Illinois, Harmon's courtesy booth, Albertson's bakery and at the cookie factory (she did not like that assembly line). She was friendly and kind, she treated everyone with respect and appreciation.
She is a member of the Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, she loved church songs - she listened to Alan Jackson and other country artists singing them all the time. She knew the meaning of charity and was always donating to various causes.
She is survived by her sisters, Helen Barna and Ruth Roszak, children, Mike, Tom (Kathie), Tim (Julie), Jeff (Christine), Steve, and Jill (Steve) Tamplin, 19 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Claude, daughter, Kathy, her parents, brother, Johnny and sister, Estelle Jordan.
The family would like to thank all of her caregivers for their services.
A graveside service for family members will be held with safety guidelines. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.
Interment will take place in the Tonaquint Cemetery.
Arrangements are made under the direction of Hughes Mortuary, 1037 E 700 S, St George, Utah (435) 674-5000.
