Mom was always a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints and held many callings. She loved serving in the nursery and singing in the ward choir. Mom worked as a youth counselor at the NevadaGirlsTrainingCenter in Caliente, Nevada and really enjoyed the time she spent in that capacity.
Marie was preceded in death by her husbands Merril Delon Edwards and Heber Barnett, her parents Rufus and Ona Bradshaw, Brothers Marel, Von, Dwain, Floyd (Buck), & Larry; Sisters Noma Edwards, Alda Blad & Iona Reese. She is survived by her children Shereen (Dallas) Davis, Merrillyn Budreau, Corrine (Del) Longmore, DeLon (Mini) Edwards, & Cendee (Frank) Apodaca; 12 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren, who she loved as her own.
At her request, no funeral will be held but a viewing will be held Sunday, Dec. 7 from 5-6:30 p.m. at Heideman Hughes Mortuary, 1037 E 700 S, St. George. A viewing will be held on Monday Dec. 8 from 11:30-12:30 in Beaver at the LDSChurch, 220 North Main Street with interment at 1:00 in the BeaverCityCemetery. A blog spot has been created by one of her granddaughters at: singingoverthedishpan.blogspot.com and we invite you to visit it often and share your thoughts and memories of mom.
