We are sad to announce the passing of Albert Kaiser, after recently celebrating his 90th birthday. On the Friday before his death, he was at the casino playing blackjack. Over the weekend, he became weak and short of breath, and by Tuesday morning, he was gone.
For those of you who knew Al well, you know his competitive spirit, and although he had felt weak for the last couple of years, he was determined to make the 90th birthday milestone. To him, it is an age not reached by most, which set him apart and above.
Al truly was apart and above. A dedicated family man from a young age, he was committed to taking care of his family and extended family, and could always be counted on. Whether it was good advice or physical help fixing something, he was always there for everyone.
Having lived in New Jersey until his mid 40’s, he sold his successful business and made the move to California, starting a new life when most men were looking towards retirement. He built in California another successful business which went on to have locations in Phoenix and Las Vegas. Although he left behind cherished family in New Jersey, his heart will always be along the South Orange County coast, where he said “God put his finger down on this place ”.
The home Al and his wife of 67 years, Carmella, built in Monarch Beach became the gathering spot for friends, family and neighbors alike. Their door was always open, and there was always food, whether you wanted it or not! We will both miss and cherish those memories.
Al leaves behind son Dennis and his wife Crystal, son Steven and his wife Cathy, and daughter Karen. He also leaves 6 grandchildren: Nate, Sarah, Jessica, Diana, Lauren and Jonathan, and 10 great- grandchildren.
As per Al's wishes, there will be no viewing or elaborate service. On a future date, we will have a gathering in California and spread his ashes in the spot he designated. In staying with Al's tradition, everyone will be invited.
